Terms and Conditions
General
These terms and conditions will apply to all transactions placed online, by e-mail, telephone or by post with 9-1-4 Outdoor. Please read carefully before placing any order. All contracts shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Scottish Law and any dispute between us will be resolved exclusively in the courts of Scotland. Nothing in these terms and conditions will be deemed to affect your statutory rights.
'By using this site you are agreeing to these terms and conditions'. Or all transactions with 9-1-4 Outdoor will be governed by these terms and conditions.
All references to the 'company', 'us' or 'we' will refer to 9-1-4 Outdoor. All references to the customer shall mean the person or persons purchasing or agreeing to purchase goods from the company. All references to the Web Site shall include reference to all URL's owned by 9-1-4 Outdoor.
Prices
All prices are shown in pound sterling (£ pound) and are inclusive of UK VAT at the current rate unless clearly stated otherwise. All prices are subject to change without prior notice.
Orders
Method of Payment: Transactions are done via our ‘secure server’ Google Checkout or through our store/s. We are unable to accept cheques, cash, or postal orders via the website. We will also accept orders by e-mail, telephone, post and fax but the customer needs to realise these methods are ‘unsecure’. No responsibility can be taken for the security of your details if given this way. All orders subject to availability. All credit / debit card transactions are subject to validation checks and are authorised by the card issuer. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Delta, Maestro and Solo. If the issuer of your card refuses to authorise payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay and / or non-delivery of your order. No orders will be accepted or processed without a valid card payment in the name of the registered cardholder.
Delivery
Items ordered will be delivered as soon as possible in accordance with the requested delivery service. All delivery charges are subject to change without prior notice. Every effort is made to ensure that delivery is made within the estimated time scales and a maximum of thirty days. All goods are subject to availability. In the event that we are unable to supply your goods within thirty days, we will inform you immediately and advise you of the expected delivery date. In instances where payment has already been made, (Post Orders with a cheque), an alternative or refund in full for the item(s) concerned will be given. In the event of any goods delivered by us being damaged in transit, deficient of items shown on the delivery note or failing to match the items ordered by you, then such details must be notified by you to us within seven working days of receipt. If we receive no such notification the customer will be deemed to have accepted the items as satisfactory. We cannot be held liable for any consequential loss caused by late delivery or failure to deliver by the company's appointed carrier. Liability in such cases is limited to the value of those items, which are shown to have not been received by the customer.
Returns and Exchanges
We want you to be entirely satisfied with every purchase made from 9-1-4 Outdoor and strive to offer you excellent quality, value and service at all times.
Cancellation Policy: We aim to meet The Distance Selling Regulations and subject to the provisions of our returns policy outlined above, every customer has the right to cancel their order within 7 days of receiving the goods. If no notification is given to us within 7 days by the customer, then the customer will be deemed to have accepted the items as satisfactory. If the goods have been dispatched as ordered, but are unwanted due to their description on the website being incorrect or misleading, then they can be returned for a repayment (including delivery charge) within 14 days after the receipt of the goods.
Nothing in these conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
If you wish to return any item due to it being faulty, please complete the details on the reverse side of your delivery note giving details of the fault and send it back to us together with the item in its original packaging, where possible, within 28 days. We will exchange the item or refund the full cost including any delivery charges incurred where appropriate. This does not apply to any perishable goods, unsealed software or item personalised or made to your specification.

Distance Selling Regulations
To cancel any item, you can e-mail, fax or write to us quoting your customer number and order number. You must take reasonable care of the items, retain all original packaging and must not use them. Goods must be returned to us within seven days of your notice to cancel. Items may be returned to 9-1-4 Outdoor’s store. All goods are returned at your own expense unless the item is deemed faulty or incorrect, where we will refund the cost on receipt of the goods. Should you require your unwanted goods to be collected, we will deduct the appointed couriers’ direct costs from the refund given.
Providing the goods are received back in an unused condition and in their original packaging with all accessories, you will receive a refund within thirty days of your notice to cancel.
Products
Products available online are only a selection of products sold ‘in-store’ so please contact us if you need something you cannot find online. Products are sold singly unless otherwise stated. Every effort is made to ensure the colours depicted on the site match as closely as possible those of the actual product. Due to technical limitations, some colours may vary.
Guarantee
All products offered are guaranteed for a period of twelve months unless otherwise stated from the date of the original invoice against failure to provide reasonable wear owing to defective workmanship or materials. The guarantee excludes faults caused by accident, neglect or misuse.

Please identify clearly the area or part that has failed. All items must be returned in a clean, dry condition, otherwise they may be returned to you without attention. Further advice is available by contacting us during office hours.
Force Majeure
We will not be liable for non-performances of our obligations caused or resulting from industrial disputes or any other circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the company such as act of God, riots, civil commotion, flood, fire and legislation. If by reason of such circumstances it shall become impossible within a reasonable time for the company to wholly or partly supply the items ordered then the customer's liability will be limited to the value of the items already supplied together with any associated delivery charges.
Content
Any information displayed on our web site(s) or other printed matter by the company is not regarded to be authoritative or certified as the best practice and is only considered to be useful supplementary advice to other certified codes of practice. All information on our web site is updated regularly.
Discount Policy
Due to the complexities and additional expense of keeping 9-1-4 Outdoor stocked with quality outdoor gear in this particular location, it is almost impossible to provide customers with ‘High Street’ type discounts.
However, we remain totally committed not to charge over the manufacturers’ R.R.P.’s, whilst continually striving to supply our customers with a varied selection of less common but highly respected clothing & equipment and provide an experienced & friendly service. We do however have 2 seasonal sales per year which will be available online. Please contact us for more information.
5% discount for B.M.C. members and pre-specified mountain rescue teams is only available in-store on production of valid I.D. cards.
Safety Warning: Climbing, mountaineering and other outdoor activities can be hazardous. The selection and use of suitable equipment for particular tasks and climate conditions does require skill. In the interests of your safety and the safety of others, you should ensure that you are properly equipped and trained in the use of the equipment. You should also ensure that you are properly trained in the techniques you will need to employ in pursuit of your chosen activity. We recommend that you seek and take the advice of a person who is suitably qualified before purchasing your equipment. Once purchased, the equipment should only be used in accordance with the manufacturers’ instructions and should likewise be inspected before use and properly maintained. Nothing in this notice affects your statutory rights. Accuracy of the colours are dependent on what the Website allows.

The pages contained in this Website may contain technical inaccuracies and typographical errors. The information in these pages may be updated from time to time and may be out of date. We accept no responsibility for keeping the information in these pages up to date or liability for not doing so.
Pricing and Print Errors
Prices and specifications are checked to the best of our ability, and whilst every effort has been made to make them accurate, no responsibility will be accepted for errors and omissions. We reserve the right to alter our prices and specifications without notice.
Ownership of Goods
All items supplied to the customer remain the property of 9-1-4 Outdoor until final payment of all sums owing in respect of those goods has been received in full by us.
Complaints / Compliments
Any complaint or compliment can be sent to us at 9-1-4 Outdoor, at the address previously given. We will endeavour to deal with your complaint within five working days of receipt. In the event where we cannot resolve your complaint immediately we will advise a likely time scale to you and keep you informed of any investigation.
Privacy Policy

You can browse our site(s) without disclosing any personal data to us. Any links to third party web sites are covered by the third parties privacy policies.
